How do you want to return your book?
The library will be moving at the end of the month from 1 The Terrace to Mātauranga House, 33 Bowen Street. That changes how you return books in person and by courier. There are no changes to how books are returned by DX.
- In person to No. 1 The Terrace until Tuesday 23 August
Ministry people
Return items to level 5, on the library table between pod 9 and meeting room 5.01 (opposite the orange Civil Defence cabinet). If possible, place it inside an inter-office envelope.
Between Wednesday 24 August to Friday 27 August, please hold on to any books you have. We can renew them for you if needed.
- In person to Mātauranga House, 33 Bowen Street from Monday 31 August
Ministry people
We will be based on level 8 but don't yet know where the library table will be.
Everyone else
You can drop off books at the Ministry of Education reception. Tell them they are library books you are returning to us.
- Through your office admin support team
Check with your office admin support team if there is a process for returning library books. Ask them if they have a way of tracking what books are returned and when. If possible place your book into an envelope labelled Ministry of Education Library.
- Courier
How to return
Return using a tracked courier bag if possible. Make a note of the tracking number so the bag can be traced if it goes missing. You don't need to enable receiver notifications.
Use a bag that fits securely around the books, or wrap them in bubble wrap or cardboard, so they aren't damaged in the mail.
